it's a really light-hearted novel. there may be some kind of gory parts but they do contribute to the story in some way (comedic or even wholesome). it contains lots of funny and cute scenes that can relieve u from a stressful day.

i like how supernatural concepts are dealt with in the story's world through modern technology; the concept of "underworld energy" managed through networking and programming shows how powerful technology can be especially at modern times

the main cp's interactions and dynamic is cute and sweet; shang que wanting to protect yu zhengdu against anything that harms him and at the same time believing in his capabilities and letting him work his magic >>>

every case they work with and every arc the story goes through have just the right amount of thrills, comedy, and valuable life lessons. they also portray how humans have diverse ways to deal with adversities and how relationships can change a person wholly.

the side characters are very enjoyable, they contribute a lot in the story and they are the main source of those life lessons i mentioned (besides the cp), they can make u laugh, cringe, feel mad, and even cry. but mostly laugh and smile bc of how things turn out in the end.

i like yu zhengdu's (mc) optimism throughout the story bc he chooses to use what he knows and what he's capable of to face situations that are new to him or that all seem unsolvable. this trait of him brings so much brightness to the story.
